The second part of the SFFMA vehicle extrication training was held Wednesday night. This training centered around vehicle stabilization, including a vehicle on its side, one on its roof and vehicles on top of another vehicle. Windcrest Volunteers got hands-on with all of the stabilization equipment carried on Engine-2. This included cribbing, Rescue Jacks, high lift jacks, pickets, straps and chains.Next weeks training will cover the use of the 3 sets of hydraulic rescue tools carried on Windcrest apparatus and the use of air and electric extrication tools.
