voorhees_nj On March 28, at 6:59 a.m., Rescue(s) 663 and 662, Squad(s) 669 and 668, and Medic 41 were dispatched to Route 73 and Kresson Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident - rescue assignment.

Units responding were advised by Camden County Communications of a reported vehicle overturned with entrapment.

Squad 6697 and Rescue 6636 arrived on location reporting one vehicle overturned with one victim entrapped. Placing SouthStar Aeromedical on standby on the pad at Virtua Voorhees, Rescue 6636 went into service with Res-Q Jacks.

Medic 41, Rescue-Engine 6621 and Squad 6687 arrived on location. Rescue-Engine 6621 was ordered to pull a 1.75-inch line for protection, and the rest of the crew were to assist with the rescue.

Both squads, along with Medic 41, gained access to the victim to assess his injuries. Due to the nature of the injuries SouthStar was cancelled.

Rescue crews utilized Hurst spreaders, o-cutters and a reciprocating saw to extricate the victim in under 30 minutes.

The patient was transported to Virtua Voorhees via Squad 6697 and Medic 41 with a couple of contusions and a broken clavicle.
