Safe Extrication Made Possible With Rescue Struts |
A van with an elderly couple were coming down the hill and didn't stop at the stop sign. It is unknown at this time if it was a mechanical failure or if it was medical.
The van hit hill and became airborne and landed on top of a flat bed rail car waiting to be repaired at the shops. Used one jack, one stand and several straps to secure the vehicle to the train car. This is the first time we got to use the jacks since we put them in service, and the jacks and straps worked great. Female driver walked out on her own. Male passenger was extricated and flown to hospital.
