August 26, 2007
Jefferson Fire Company, Jefferson Rescue Squad
At 5:45 pm on the evening of August 26, 2007 members of Jefferson Twp Fire Company # 2 and the Jefferson Rescue squad were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident where a pick up truck had struck and entered a house at 39 Winona Trail in the Lake Winona section of Jefferson Twp. The owner was sitting on the couch of their living room feeding their 4 month old baby when the incident took place. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported. Fire Company # 2 was able to secure the structure's framework by using Res-Q-Jacks stabilizers and it was decided that the easiest way to remove the vehicle ( causing less harm to the structure) would be to drive it out of the damaged house. The truck was safely removed and residents of the home were able to gather some personal items before leaving the scene. |
