Dispatch toned out an auto accident with entrapment on Lynn Drive around 19:30 hours on a very cold Thursday night. Asst. Chief Bohny (340) arrived and assumed the initial Lynn Drive Command and reported a one car accident with the vehicle in a precarious position which would require immediate stabilization. Chief of Department J. Donch (330) arrived moments later and confirmed the initial size up report and assumed Command and advised 340 to take the extrication operations. Squad 333 (OIC Lt. Knubel) arrived on location with 6 and set up for a roof removal as well as vehicle stabilization utilizing the rescue struts. Engine 331 (OIC Capt. Rohner) and Engine 335 (OIC Capt. Post)arrived on location and assisted with the extrication as well as placing a protection line in place. EMS advised that a rapid removal of the victim was required due to the extent of his injuries and they would be requiring a fly out by helicopter. Command requested an assignment from Wyckoff  to establish a landing zone along with Ladder 342. Chief D. Murphy (Wyckoff 230) established Command at the landing zone and prepared for the arrival of the helicopter and EMS  units. The patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to the landing zone and loaded into the helicopter. Once the helicopter departed, Chief Murphy terminated the landing zone Command. Lynn Drive Command held the Squad and placed the engines back in service. The vehicle was removed and Command was terminated on Lynn Drive.
