February 5, 2007

At approximately 3:00 a.m. on February 5th, 2007, Spencer Fire & Squad were dispatched to a 1 car MVA with injuries.  Upon arrival, a full size pickup was discovered resting on its side over an embankment in a creek.  One of the two occupants was laying in the creek bed near the driver’s ‘A’ post in zero degree temperatures, reportedly ejected as the pickup rolled.  The other occupant was attempting to keep the injured occupant warm with blankets awaiting rescue arrival.  The pickup was quickly stabilized while the patient was back-boarded and transported.
