MVA with Ejection on I-95 |

At 1310 Stafford Volunteers were alerted for the MVA with one overturned I-95 NB at the 140 mile marker. Wagon 2 went with 4, Truck 2 added themselves with 3, and the Engine cleared a medical local to respond with 3. While enroute, communications advised they were receiving reports of one ejected. Wagon 2 arrived on the scene at 1313, with one ejected just prior to the Courthouse Road bridge. Shortly thereafter Wagon 2 (Eddy) established "I-95 Command" and requested a helicopter. The crew from Wagon 2 assisted with patient care and packaging, Truck 2 set up the LZ, and Engine 2 assumed the Rescue Squad responsibility and stabilized the vehicle. After the patient packaging and vehicle was stabilized, the crews worked with Medic 1 and Medic 10 providing patient care. LifeEvac 2 received the patient and units took up, clearing at 1346. |
